HOW TO CHANGE YO-YO TO UNRESPONSIVE:
-
Remove the yoyo's response pads: The first step in converting a responsive yoyo to unresponsive is to remove the response pads. These are the small silicone pads that sit on the inner walls of the yoyo, and they help the yoyo return to your hand when you tug on the string. To remove the pads, use a small flathead screwdriver or a yoyo tool to gently pry them out.
-
Replace the bearing: Once you have removed the response pads, it's time to replace the bearing with an unresponsive one. Unresponsive bearings are designed to spin longer and do not have the responsiveness of a responsive bearing. To replace the bearing, use a yoyo tool to remove the old bearing and replace it with an unresponsive one.
-
Lubricate the bearing: To ensure smooth and consistent performance, it's important to lubricate the bearing after replacing it. Use a small drop of yoyo-specific lubricant to lubricate the bearing. Be careful not to over-lubricate, as this can cause the yoyo to be less responsive than desired.
-
Test the yoyo: Once you have completed the conversion, it's important to test the yoyo to ensure that it is performing as desired. Test the yoyo by throwing it and seeing how long it spins. You should also test it by performing some basic and advanced tricks to see how it handles.
